As a co-founder and active member, Alna is proud of its role in Knowledge Economy Forum, a forum uniting successful Lithuanian companies who have interests in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, information technology and related fields. In raising the standards of scientific technology and influencing educational development, Knowledge Economy Forum seeks to develop the nation’s knowledge economy.
Alna is one of the founding members of the Window to the Future Alliance, a project uniting the largest banks, IT and telecommunication companies in the country. With Alna’s active support, the alliance’s mission is to increase Internet penetration levels in Lithuania, thereby increasing Lithuanian computer literacy and thus enhancing the competitiveness of the country within Europe. Since its inception, Internet penetration levels have risen to 31% nationwide, comparable to rates across the EU.
Alna, together with other members of the Knowledge Economy Forum, initiated the Sunrise Valley project in Vilnius. The purpose of the Sunrise Valley project is to act as an indispensable link between science and business, with a view to increasing the competitiveness of the workforce and creating favourable conditions for innovations and entrepreneurship. |
