Christmas Eve at Trakai Children's Orphanage
On Christmas Eve, Alna employees visited Trakai Children’s Orphanage. They gave children gifts that included cross-country skis and other presents. These items were purchased with the money collected during the Kindness of Alna Employees for Children fund-raising campaign. The December 22, 2005 visit was not a coincidence. Alna began the friendship with the Trakai Children’s Orphanage a couple of years ago. In appreciation for the company’s attention and kindheartedness, the orphanage community invited Alna employees to participate at the Christmas Eve Dinner. Other invited guests were from the Trakai municipality, the Ministry of National Defense, Daily Service, BMS, Vero Mode, in addition to clergy, and other goodwill individuals. The children prepared an especially nice Christmas program. The sounds of piano and flute pleased the ear as the children recited poems. Alna employees and other guests gathered for dinner with the children. Later in the event, they started mixing and quickly fanned out to children rooms where they played games and participated in Christmas magic. This evening was very special to all Alna employees.
