Alna’s Pride - February 16th Award Winners
Alna is one of the sponsors of Kaunas University of Technology College (KUTC). For a good number of years Alna has been funding a pecuniary prize to the winners of a traditional KTUC February 16 Award. The Award ceremony takes place during “100 Days until Graduation” event - one of the most remarkable traditions of the college. Each year, a KUTC student receives this prestigious merit award, and two other students receive incentive premiums. 2007 - Justinas Liaudinskas 2008 - Kęstutis Česnavičius Is not clear where life will take each of the February 16th Award winners, nevertheless, the KUTC community is pleased with works and academic achievements of their award winners. Aurelijus Dabušinskas earned a PhD in economics; he completed doctoral studies in Prague and now works as a bank manager in Estonia. Aleksandras Gutmanas graduated cum laude and received his Master’s in physics from Chalmers University of Technology (Göteborg, Sweden). In 2003 he was awarded a PhD in biophysics and now works in Canada. Audrius Alkauskas studies in Basel, Switzerland. In January 2006, he defended his PhD thesis in physics. Gediminas Lukšys graduated from International University Bremen (IUB, Germany). Currently he studies in Lozano, Switzerland. Tadas Jucikas graduated from KUTG, so did his brother Viktoras and sister Kristina. The latter was awarded a February 16th incentive premium. As an interesting fact, all three of them have entered prestigious IUB University. |
