The Dalkia group (Litesko and Vilniaus Energija) is the leading European provider of energy services to local authorities and companies.

 Challenge

After the Dalkia group acquired two companies, Litesko and Vilniaus Energija, they decided to have one solution in all the group’s companies. Litesko had an old version of Navision and its billing system was based on it. Vilniaus Energija had some local solutions. The management decided to install a new version of Navision for financial accounting in all companies and separate solutions for the billing systems.

 Solution

Alna Business Solutions won the tender for the implementation of the financial part of the project for the Dalkia group. Our professionals implemented a new version of Navision in Litesko and Vilniaus Energija and installed hardware for the whole system, which is for the financial part and for the billing system.

Our team of specialists renewed the Navision version and implemented additional solutions for fuel accounting, fixed assets accounting, as well as integrating the billing and banking payments systems, interfaced with suppliers’ invoices. Improvements to allow information analysis were also carried out and a payroll module implemented (which was developed by our company). Our specialists carried out all prior analysis, the implementation and testing of the system, personnel education, and revision of the project.

As a result of this project, the company management has enjoyed an improved system and has received new advantages such as a unified system for Dalkia Lietuva group companies, database security ensured by quality software and restricted access to the database and to different data by user rights. Other advantages include terminal server usage for remote connection, the ease of modification and integration with other systems, the import of actual data to the budget system for the creation of forecasts and the easy-to-create reports as required.

The system was installed on time, with no budget overrun, and is constantly maintainable and updateable. The success of this project depended on the properly organized work, the methodology and the qualification and experience of our specialists.
