During the last few years Akmenes Cementas AB (Cement of Akmene) implemented a couple of large investment projects, which modernized the company's business processes and activities. 2006 was an exceptionally successful year, since Akmenes Cementas AB also invested in IT infrastructure. This year Alna Business Solutions finalized the implementation of Microsoft Dynamic AX system project for Akmenes Cementas AB. The project lasted for one year and it included finance, fixed assets, receivables and payables accounting, procurement, sales and stock management modules.

Thanks to the implemented system, now we are able to asses more precisely our production costs and products cost price, it has become much easier to do information search in the system, as well as to generate reports. Moreover, the accounting process of receivables has also been simplified" - says Akmenes Cementas AB Chief Accountant Virginija Berežniak (Virginija Berezhnyak).  

Akmenes Cementas AB is the only cement manufacturing enterprise in Lithuania, which is also the largest cement manufacturing company in the Baltic States.  In 2006 the company’s sales totaled 1,05 million tones of cement and the company’s annual turnover totaled LTL 189 million (respectively 27 and 58 percent more than in 2005).

Alna Business Solutions is a business process consultancy, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation, and maintenance company. In 2006 Alna Business Solutions’ turnover from direct activities in Lithuania, Estonia and Poland totaled LTL 13,9 million.
