Every year Alna Business Solutions organize the Fall Opening Holiday, during which, the company employees do socially useful jobs.  On the 18th of September, on Friday, Alna employees paid a visit to Anykščiai district, the location of Raguvėlė Children Day Care Center, which is attended by 40 children whose parents are welfare recipients.  

The purpose of this trip was the same as in previous year:  having spent one day with welfare recipients’ children, Alna employees not only shared kindness and attention, but also did typical autumn jobs – they cleaned the day care center and Raguvelė Estate’s environment, prepared 12 cubic meters of firewood, and picked up 3,5 tones of apples.   When the children sell these apples, they will make some money for themselves and the day care center. The company’s specialists also fixed Children Day Care Center’s computer equipment and erected a basketball stand, which company had donated to the children. 

“It was last year when Alna employees decided to organize a holiday for Raguvelė Day Care Center children and teachers, and we are doing for the second time in a row.  After we noticed how much good we can do within a couple of hours, this year we decided to come there as well.  It is lovely that our visits bring joy and benefit both Raguvėlė Day Care Center children and our employees” – said Marius Juknevičius, Executive director of Alna Business Solutions.  

After an intensive working day, the holiday relocated to Raguvėlė estate, in which children and local musicians presented cheerful evening program.
Every day children from needy or problematic families visit the country's day care centers which are supervised by Save the Children –a public organization. Sometimes such children day care center saves these children from ending up in child care homes.  At day centers, children do their school homework, eat, practice their communication, social and hygiene skills.  Moreover, the day care centers provide social, psychological help; organize children’s occupation and summer leisure camps. Children day care centers also involve families, thus, strengthening trust and mutual relations among family members.

It is not the first time that Alna Business Solutions’ employees associate Fall Opening Holiday with socially useful work. During previous outings, the company’s workers cleaned Paluknys airfield and the territory of Verkiai Regional Park.
