Implementation of a video conference system at the Lithuania Labour Exchange Customer
The Lithuanian Labour Exchange, under the Ministry of Social Security
and Labour, covers 46 remote subdivisions known as territorial labour
exchanges.
Challenge
The Lithuanian Labour Exchange organises common training for the
employees of territorial labour exchanges. Generally, conferences and
consultations are held in Vilnius, so being quite consuming in terms of
time and money for the employees of the territorial labour exchanges.
Thus, the challenge for us was to adopt a solution that would help to
handle the aforementioned problem.
Solution
Alna Intelligence specialists first geographically grouped all the
labour exchanges on a regional basis into Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevėžys,
Šiauliai and Klaipėda offices. These labour exchange offices were then
equipped with video conference equipment interconnected via ISDN
communication lines.
In the conference room of the Lithuanian Labour Exchange, there is now
a video conference station assembled with a guided video camera,
conference room speakers and equipment for broadcasting video, audio
and video-graphic information to the remote territorial labour
exchanges. The conference equipment implemented is able to produce
video and audio broadcasts to the local computer network of the
Lithuanian Labour Exchange. Similarly, any employee is able to follow
the process of a conference or other event on a computer monitor.
Customer benefit
The video conference systems implemented by Alna Intelligence at the
offices of the Lithuanian Labour Exchange allow the customer to
organise on-line business meetings and solve any burning issues arising
in respect to the labour market at different labour exchanges. The
customer may also conduct remote training of labour exchange employees
and provide consultancy. This solution has been estimated as producing
savings of 15,000 litas per year for the Lithuanian Labour Exchange. |
