Alna Intelligence Achieves 35 Percent Increase in Revenue for 2005 Last year, information technologies (IT) consulting and services company Alna Intelligence, received 47,02 million litas in revenue from IT consulting and services activities in Lithuania and Latvia, which is 35 percent more than in 2004, when the company’s turnover totaled 34,87 million litas.
Alna Intelligence revenue growth was conditioned by more than twofold increase in the sales’ volume of IT consulting and IT infrastructure maintenance services. “This year, the demand for these services should grow in a similar manner too. Also, we see a new tendency – organizations find it more and more relevant to partially or completely transfer their IT infrastructure maintenance to professional companies” – says Kazimieras Tonkūnas, Director of Alna Intelligence.
According to Mr. K. Tonkūnas, companies have already been convinced that by transferring their IT infrastructure maintenance to the hands of their partners, the companies not only pare down their expenses, but also optimize their business processes and boost competitive advantage. “We maintain all IT infrastructure – computer equipment, networks, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software applications, we plan and implement company’s IT strategy, and take care of equipment provision at the most favorable conditions. It is especially convenient for the enterprises which want to allocate all of their resources to core business activities,” - says Director of Alna Intelligence.
2005 was the year of a qualitative leap in IT services maintenance field. Having invested more that 0,5 million litas into customer service improvement, Alna Intelligence achieved the IT service efficiency level enjoyed by clients in the EU. The greater part of the IT infrastructure maintenance services, which the company provides to its clients, is exercised in a remote manner. Even IT systems located in Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, in the Baltic States and other countries are maintained from Lithuania. Currently, Alna Intelligence provides maintenance services to more than ten thousand customers’ employees.
“The virtualization of our business and investments into work efficiency and employees’ competence, allowed us to penetrate foreign markets and successfully compete with native IT companies," says K. Tonkūnas. Last year, the company invested more than 0,8 million litas into employees’ growth, with additional 1,2 million litas planned to be allocated this year.
Last year, Alna Intelligence implemented largest consulting and IT security projects at such companies in Lithuania as Mažeikių Nafta (Mazeikiai Oil refinery), Omnitel, MG Baltic, Lukoil, also, at Latvia’s Balta company and Riga City Municipality public transportation and parking company Rigas Satiksme.
